Terms & common questions

What does printing cost?

Price depends on volume/weight, material, infill and effort. The instant estimate in the configurator gives you a first feel. The price becomes binding after our technical review of your file.

Which file do I need?

STL works best — it's the 3D-printing standard. 3MF and OBJ are also fine. STEP/CAD files can be processed on request, but no automatic instant estimate is possible then.

How accurate is the estimate?

Volume and weight are calculated exactly from your file. Print time is an approximation — the real time emerges only when slicing with the final settings. That's why the instant price is an estimate, not a binding offer.

Is there a warranty / guarantee?

We manufacture to the best of our knowledge and current state of technology. For parts made from your design we accept no liability for function, fit or suitability for a particular purpose — the design is your responsibility. For manufacturing defects on our side we rework. 3D printing is a layered process with visible lines and material-dependent tolerances; this is process-inherent and not a defect.

What about tolerances?

Dimensional deviations in 3D printing are process-inherent and depend strongly on geometry, size and above all on the material. With matched brand filaments tight tolerances are achievable; with different materials the variance can be larger — as is typical for FDM printing. If you need fit-critical dimensions, please note it: we review in advance and coordinate with you.

Copyright & permitted parts

By uploading you confirm you have the rights to the file and that printing is permitted. We do not print weapons (or parts thereof), safety-critical components or illegal items.

What happens to my file?

Your file is used exclusively to produce your order and is not shared. After order completion we delete the file. In the configurator the file stays local in your browser until you send the request.

Minimum quantity?

None — we also print single parts. For larger quantities or series ask us about tiered pricing.

Note on the instant estimate: All prices shown in the configurator are non-binding reference values for first orientation. They do not replace a quote. Only the written quote we send after reviewing your file is binding. Our T&Cs apply. Printability, final print time and material consumption are confirmed before production.
